Thank you for visiting our official website. Oregon Taxpayers United has been the leading taxpayer organization in the state of Oregon since 1993.

Bill Sizemore and/or Oregon Taxpayers United have sponsored such measures as the 1994 PERS measure, which voters approved; Measure 47, the landmark 1996 property tax measure; the Double Majority measure, which stops property tax increases in low turn-out elections; and Measure Seven, the 2000 property rights measure that required governments to compensate property owners when government regulations reduced their property value.

missing images/bill-eisenzimmer.jpg Oregon Taxpayers United is known nationwide as the organization that takes on the hard projects and tough issues that others are afraid to touch which is, of course, the reason why the organization and its leaders are always under assault by Oregon's liberal newspapers and public employee unions.

For the over three years the OTU and Bill Sizemore have been under vicious attack by the public employee unions, especially the teachers unions. Our political committee has been ordered

by a liberal Multnomah County judge to pay two teachers unions approximately $4 million in a case which is on appeal. Our executive director, Bill Sizemore, also has been ordered to pay the unions the same amount, and he never received so much as a trial. Apparently, there is no justice or constitutional protections for a real conservative in Multnomah County.

The judge who was been handling the case for three years admitted that he has been hiding a conflict of interest. His son was just elected the head of the teachers union in Woodburn, Oregon. Funny that he never thought to mention the fact that his son is a member of and activist in the same organization that was suing us in his courtroom.
